About MicrostructureDB

MicrostructureDB is a platform for storing, analysing and sharing materials microstructure data — bringing together image management, EBSD analysis, advanced visualisation, and an AI assistant in one place.

Who runs it

The Platform is developed and operated by ePotentia VOF, a Belgian scientific-AI consultancy working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and materials science, based at Frans van Dijckstraat 59, 2100 Deurne (Antwerpen). We are responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and support of the Platform.

MicrostructureDB has been developed in collaboration with partners from the AID4GREENEST project, a Horizon Europe initiative bringing together research and industry to advance data-driven materials science.

Where your data lives

The Platform runs on Google Cloud infrastructure within the European Union (region europe-west4, Netherlands), with certain processing on ePotentia’s own server in Belgium. On-premise deployments are available on request. For details on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.
